Hot Tubs Reno

What’s the difference between a spa and a hot tub?

Let’s settle this once and for all.

An In-ground Spa is built into the ground much like an in-ground pool. You’ll see these at hotels and gyms, and they are equipped with bench seats and a few built-in jets. They take a lot of time to get hot and a lot of energy to stay hot.

A Hot Tub in an above-ground portable spa. It is self contained; all of the plumbing and electrical are inside the hot tub cabinet. These can be drained anytime and relocated. They also hold their hot temperature very well and the multitude of models offer unique jet massage options. They are more comfortable, more energy efficient and are easier to maintain that an in-ground spa.

Jetted Bathtubs are not all Jacuzzis®. Jaccuzzi® is a brand name that has been turned into a generic trademark much like Kleenex® and Xerox®. Jacuzzi® makes bathtubs and portable hot tubs, but every jetted bathtub is not the Jacuzzi® brand.
